Gaming is my biggest hobby and timesink. I deeply enjoy the act of creation, and there's few natural 'highs' more intense than to craft a world or scenario out of thin air, and then watch the player-characters experience what I've created.
My Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil campaign meets every other sunday from 2p-8p. This game leapt to the head of the queue when I received the module for Christmas, and we began play in February of 2003. When the previous Sunday game ended, we moved this game to that timeslot.
'Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil
Those are the current games, but I have lots of ideas that bubble around my head. Here's the campaign ideas that have taken root, some more vigorously than others. The pages for these campaigns are meant to be a sandbox to arrange my ideas and communicate information to the players to better enable them to create good characters for the specific campaign.
- The Goblinators -- Formerly known as 'The Sunday Game'. Ended in October of 2003
- 'Establishing a New Colony' (Starting ?) This is the replacement game for the sunday timeslot when RttToEE ends. Will probably be using a modified Feng Shui base.
- 'Power Carries Responsibility' (Starting ?) This game has been pushed back several times before. Now it's waiting until all the other games currently playing end, and possibly will wait even longer, as it is going to be a difficult game on the GM side. Deep-immersion roleplay, low combat. Will probably be using a modified Universal System base.
- Dungeon o' Doom! (Starting ?) Roleplay-light, combat-heavy. This is my tongue-in-cheek 'world' consisting of a mud/MMORPG setting where the characters are aware they're characters in such a setting. It'll start off in server-mode beta style, with just the PCs and whoever they 'invite' into their server, and later I may or may not expand the 'setting' to include dealing with other 'characters'. MUD-style playing, along with various 'quests' as the GM sees fit (race each other through the maze/team-race through the maze/survive X hours in the maze, etc).
- Privateers (Starting ?) Someone took Exalted and crossed it with Wushu, resulting in something very very yummy. I must do an ocean-based campaign, using this ruleset and Exalted's setting, someday.
- 'Indiana Jones Meets Myth Drannor' (No proposed start date) -- No details beyond the idea of a group based outside Myth Drannor that works on recovering important items out of the abandonded city.
- 'Taming the Wild North' (No proposed start date) The Silver Marches resource book is just so cool, I want to have a campaign up there someday.
